38th Annual
Massachusetts Envirothon
Thursday, May 22, 2025
Borderland State Park, Easton MA
Welcome!
Welcome to the 38th Massachusetts Envirothon!
Just like a great band, MassEnvirothon thrives because of the incredible individuals who come together with a shared purpose. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters once said, “Figure out who you are, what inspires you, and don’t look back.” That spirit drives Brita, the steering committee, and our dedicated volunteers—we are inspired by this program and have never looked back. Our passion for the environment and commitment to students fuel our mission to provide the foundation they need to pursue environmental studies or become informed, engaged citizens.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who keeps this program running, and to Andrew Buckley and his outstanding team for welcoming us to Borderland and going above and beyond.
Today, Teams and Coaches, you are the rock stars, and we are your biggest fans. Give it your all, but most importantly, enjoy the day—you are all winners!
~ Kelley Freda, Chair, Massachusetts Envirothon Steering Committee

What happens at an ecostation?
At the Massachusetts Envirothon, teams rotate through four ecostations, in addition to giving their Current Issue presentation. Each ecostation has a different emphasis: forests, soil, water and wildlife.

What is the Envirotrek Lunch?
Through the year teams study hard, practice new skills, meet new people, find new places, try new experiences, get wet, get dirty, get tired, design a t-shirt, stay up late to prepare, and generally have a good time getting ready for the May Envirothon competition. This is the EnviroTrek!
